A Fundamental Right for Every Child
Nav Srishti firmly believe that every child deserves access to quality education. Whether a child has never attended school, dropped out, child labour or is at risk of dropping out due to academic, social, or economic reasons — we make every effort to connect them to the formal education system. For children unable to attend regular school, we provide support through open schooling.
Our Key Educational Activities
Our education program is designed for children aged 6 to 18 years, focusing especially on those who:
Core Interventions
Identification & Outreach
We identify out-of-school children through regular community outreach and surveys.
Child Activity Centres
We run safe, fun, and engaging centres that promote joyful learning in a child-friendly environment.
Group-based, Age-appropriate Classes
Classes are tailored to children’s learning needs and grouped by age and ability.
Parent Engagement & Sensitization
Regular meetings are held with parents to strengthen the home-school connection and promote parental support.
School Management Committee (SMC) Engagement
We collaborate with SMCs to enhance accountability and ensure community
participation in school governance.
Science Labs for Hands-On Learning
One fully functional science lab is operational at our Neb Sarai centre. With donor support, we’ve also set up science labs in 8 government schools across Faridabad and Noida.
Learning Level Assessment
Each child’s academic level and the reason for dropout or non-enrolment is
assessed.
Qualified & Trained Educators
Our trained teachers help children bridge learning gaps and support their academic progress.
Regular Assessments
We conduct baseline, quarterly, and annual assessments to track each child’s progress.
School Linkages
We work closely with local schools and the Education Department to facilitate enrolment, re-enrolment, and retention.
Digital Learning Access
We introduce children to digital tools and computer literacy through digital learning classes.
Life Skills & Capacity Building
We conduct life skill sessions, exposure visits, celebrations, and debate competitions to enhance children’s confidence, creativity, and leadership.
Inclusive Support for All Children
We identify children with special needs and assist them in obtaining disability certification. We also link them with organizations specializing in support for special needs children, ensuring access to appropriate education and services.
Children from single-parent families, who are financially weak are supported through open schooling and other alternative education systems to ensure continuity of learning.
Although our Child Activity Centre has limited enrolment—approximately 60 children divided into two batches—we actively monitor the status of other children in the community. If we come to know that a child has stopped attending school, our team intervenes immediately. We work to identify and address the underlying issues and ensure the child is re-enrolled in school, so they don’t miss out on their right to education.
Creating Safe and Supportive Environments
We work collaboratively with key stakeholders — including the police, Labour Department, local political representatives, District Magistrates, and the District Child Protection Units — to ensure school safety and smooth mobility for children.
Many children have shared that everyday domestic violence at home deeply affects their education. As one child said, “We can only study when there is peace in our family.” We address this by promoting family harmony as a foundation for learning.
To tackle domestic violence, we have set up Mahila Panchayats and Family Counselling Centres. These provide safe spaces for women to seek legal guidance, emotional support, and peaceful resolution of conflicts. The results have been deeply impactful — many children report that violence in their homes has reduced as families now have structured ways to address grievances.
