Swasth Gaon Ek Pahal

Nav Srishti is implementing a community health education & awareness dissemination initiative titled “Swasth Gaon, Ek Pehal” with support from Artemis Health Sciences Foundation, CSR wing under Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram with a commitment to contribute towards the betterment of society with undertaking a community based health awareness program which will aim to create informative & sound community in regards to Health Education, Water and Sanitation & Hygiene. The program is currently implemented in Nakhrola village near Manesar, Gurugram and will thrive on the active engagement of the community to impart health education among the member of the targeted community and also create awareness about children’s protection issues that are gradually increasing in the society.

The project will employ a participatory monitoring and evaluation approach, where project stakeholders/beneficiaries are involved in all stages of the project cycle starting from project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This will ensure that the beneficiaries own the interventions as they will take part in all project activities. And produces positive verifiable outcomes and ensures sustainability.

During the year we aim to cover 500 adolescents and about 4000 community people and stakeholders through various activities of the program. The impact of the project on adolescent and young girls will be that they will be able to access quality health services and overcome nutrition deficiency, thus leading a healthy and more prepared life. As for parents and community members, the impact of the project will be that there will be behavioral changes among this group of people towards the adolescents’ right to health. As a result of this behavioral change, parents and communities will take action to support adolescents’ health and nutrition.
