Our Policies

Our Policies

We are a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 on August 03, 1994 at New Delhi and under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976 and Income Tax (IT) Exemption Act 1961. We believe that working on grassroots level alone will not help much to solve the problems in long-term manner. There is a need to work for changes in policies and programs too. Keeping this in mind, Nav Srishti is working at both levels. On one hand we are working at local level to solve local problems with active involvement of women and local community along with youth, adolescent and children. We also strive to collaborate with the State and National level civil society organization working on similar objectives.

Human Resource Policy (HR Policy)

The organization believes that fair and just policies and implementation thereof are due to all employees regardless of rank, level and status of employment. As such, all teammates are called upon to practice fairness in all their official dealings and in carrying out their functions based on these policies and procedures. If there be non-implementation or neglect on its appropriate and proper implementation, employees have the right to bring such breach to the Management of Nav Srishti and Governing Body if required.

The Management and its employees together have a shared responsibility in the attainment of the goals and objectives of the organization and the proper implementation of this policy.

Child Protection Policy

Nav Srishti believes that in a world where children face so many threats of harm, it is our duty to ensure that we, as an organisation, do everything we can to keep children safe. We must not contribute in any way to harming or placing children at risk. Our Child Protection Policy (CPP), ‘Say Yes! to Keeping Children Safe’, provides the framework for the organisation’s responsibility to keep children safe, ensuring that no child comes to harm as a result of their engagement with us, whether that be via their interaction with staff and those who represent us, or their participation in our programmes, sponsorship, activities and fundraising or advocacy campaigns. In addition, it details our responsibility to ensure that we minimise risks to children in everything we do and places an obligation on us to report concerns we have over a child’s safety. It commits us to ensuring that our activities and programmes do not impact negatively on children, whether associated with us or not, and that the best interest of a child remains a priority.

Sexual harassment at work Place Committee

As per the law, it is mandatory for every workplace to have an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) that would play a critical role in prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment at the workplace. The ICC has a responsibility to establish an effective internal complaints procedure.
