Our Achievements

Nav Srishti achievements since Aug. 1994 to Dec. 2017


  • We have started our intervention from Nangloi, West District with 10,000 community members and today it has been expanded in 5 districts of Delhi covered 60,0000 families. The major interventions are in Neb Sarai, Jahangirpuri, Holambi Kalan, Sultanpuri, Bawana and Sangam Vihar. We have also expanded our programmes in major parts of Delhi NCR covering Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram.

  • Initially we have started our work with 10 girls from marginalized community in Delhi and are now working with 12,000 girls across Delhi. We are working for their skill development in Beauty culture, Stitching & dress designing and knowledge in computer applications. So far 5000 girls have been provided vocational training on these courses. More than 1000 girls were provided support to complete their Class 10th & 12th examination through National Open Schooling and through our bridge courses. 1400 girls supported in remedial education.

  • Around 5000 girls in Holambi Kalan have been taken through the digital learning program and outreach 18000 girls were linked with program. This helps them in their studies and helps them to gain good marks in Class 9th & 10th examinations. Around 12,000 girls were given training on life skills and inter-personal skills of which 60% girls has been motivated to stand in their own foot.

  • Around 6000 children have been taken through our educational support programme of which, approximately, 5500 children has been admitted in formal schools. 80% of those admitted could successfully able to complete their schooling with the help of our remedial coaching support programme.

  • We reached around 48,000 children through our school library program where libraries has been set-up in 50 MCD run Primary schools across Delhi covering 48,000 children. Through this programme, the reading and writing skills of kids has been enhanced.

  • We reached around 2,500 girls through our community library programme that still exist in 5 major project locations across Delhi.

  • In our Early Child Care Education centre we provide services to 1500 children between 2 – 6 years age group. These children are taken care for their overall health, development and protection. We are also working in 40 Aanganwadi Centres under ICDS in Holambi Kalan and provide training support to Aanganwadi workers on Early Child Care and Education.

  • Since 2008, we provide sponsorship support to 1400 children with the support of Plan India.


  • In the year 2013, we have received a big achievement in our project location at Sangam Vihar. We successfully advocate in bringing a feeder school with the support of community under the purview of RTE Act, 2009. Earlier children compelled to go school in Tuglaqabad which is around 6 KMs away that resulted in huge number of drop-outs among girls. Around 1400 children from the community have been provided neighbourhood school early children goes to Tuglaqabad as a result huge girls were dropout every year. 1400 children got their school with in neighbourhood.

  • In Nangloi, we helped in providing 200 caste certificates to members of Gosain community who lives there for more than 40 years but could not have an access of the authorities.

  • In Prem Nagar, where we worked with 1200 members of Banjara community didn’t possess any identity and lives an undignified life though they lives there for more than 30 years. We found children in the community facing problems of abuse and difficulties in getting admission in schools out of discrimination as they belong to NT-DNT community. After 3 years of intervention, we helped 800 people from the community to get their identities through Aadhar card, Bank Passbook, Ration Cards, Smart cards of Health Insurance, etc. Protection of girls and children has been ensured by providing basic facilities like drinking water, mobile toilets, hand pumps and construction of roads. Many children got admission in schools who are first generation learners. They now live a life of dignity.


  • Through our health care program we covered more than 1 lakh households members directly till date. We have run 10 mobile health care units in Jahangirpuri for the last 5 years and covered around 2.4 lack. We have also started health clinic in Sangam Vihar in the year 2015 and today the patient registered under this clinic crossed 32,000. We conducted health awareness program in Jahangirpuri, Holambi Kalan, Nangloi, Faridabad, Neb Sarai and Sangam Vihar and covered that covered a population of around 3 lakhs people. In Holambi Kalan we could able to help the Government in registration of 80% Birth and could able to ensure 100% immunization of children in our working area through government health services. In Holambi Kalan we also formed 40 mother groups to create the awareness on the safe motherhood, which increased the number of institutional delivery.


  • As a support organisation of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) since 2008, we could able to provide counselling support to 3500 victims of sexual abuse.

  • Since 2006 we are working on missing children and could ale to make the issue visible in Delhi. We are keeping a close watch on missing children data and advocating on the issue in Delhi since the year 2009. Till today we could successfully able to rescue 25 missing/ trafficked children and rescued around 1200 children from child labour, trafficking and sexual abuse through our child help line in Faridabad under the provision of J.J Act. We could able to aware 25,000 people from the community about Childline.

  • We succeed to make aware 50000 people across Delhi through our “Stop Children Going Missing from Delhi “awareness campaign. We have developed 25 community based child protection vigilance group in Outer Delhi and North West Delhi.


  • Around 500 women are part of our Self help program.

  • Around 5000 women got help from our Mahila Panchayat program to get rid from domestic violence.

  • Around 3 lacks women are aware of their rights and services they have in difficult circumstances in capital.

  • Around 2500 women have received counselling through our Family Counselling Centre, 70% are satisfied with our work leading to happy life.

  • Around 4500 women in distress have received support through our Women help line supported by Delhi Commission for Women since 2008.

  • Around 2000 women actively volunteer with us in Mahila Panchayat, Bal Suraksha Dal, vigilance group and Community Based organisation.

  • Around 5000 women, girls & boys (above 18 years) are getting skilled in beauty culture, stitching & computer application in Sangam Vihar and Neb Sarai through our vocational training programme. Approximately 30 % of the beneficiaries got employment.


  • We got an opportunity to visit Salt Lake City USA, in 2004 to participate in Micro Credit Convention supported by National Foundation for India. We have visited Bangladesh in 2006 and participated in People Health Summit.

  • Nav Srishti was awarded Pahal Pioneer Personality Shield 2006 from Zee News.

  • Nav Srishti as a leading activist on missing children in Delhi have been selected and recognised as a citizen journalist of missing children in Delhi by IBN 7

  • Started working with 2 workers and today we have 150 full time and part time workers. In addition we have around 5000 volunteers are working with us.


  • Since 1998, we have received support of 25 donor agencies and currently 11 donor agencies are supporting the organisation in its mission. We are proud to share that we have been receiving continuous support from Child Rights and you (CRY), New Delhi since 1998 and Social Welfare Board, Government of NCT of Delhi since 1999.

Networking


  • Today, Nav Srishti has an identity of a credible NGO in Delhi, Due to strong and committed team and good management we could successfully able to work with Government and non government organizations. We are an active member of Alliance for People Rights (APR), Delhi and NEEV Forces, Delhi and Bal Bigul- Haryana Alliance on Child Rights who are advocating on the issues of child rights. We are also a part of Mahila Panchayat Network and other pro-people issues like International Women Peace Group (IWPG). Presently, the Secretary, Nav Srishti holds the position of Convener in the Alliance for People Rights (APR).
