Nav Srishti is dedicated to empowering community groups to effectively tackle and respond to violence against women and children, ensuring their safety and protection. This program has been supported by Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives. The program aims to build a supportive environment against GBV, empowering women and children, and fostering community-led change. It addresses the root causes of GBV and provides comprehensive support to significantly enhance the safety and well-being of targeted communities.
Nav Srishti has implemented a strategy involving the formation of 10 Women Solidarity Groups and the identification of 50 whistleblowers to manage GBV cases. We have also identified women leaders for the formation of Mahila Panchayats. This program includes:
Raising awareness about women’s rights and healthy relationships through workshops and campaigns.
Enhancing community members’ skills to effectively respond to GBV.
Setting up Mahila Panchayats and creating safe spaces for survivors.
Advocating for women’s rights and collaborating on legal aid and skill development initiatives.
