Child Development Khazana

Introduction of the Project: Child Development Khazana Programme supported by Khazana Foundation is being implemented by Nav Srishti since July 2025 at Neb Sarai Area. Technical support and Guidance for setting up the project was provided by Butterflies NGO. The Project caters to children in age group from 8 years to 18 years. 

Goal of the Project: Empowering children to become self-reliant and develop leadership skills by providing them with financial literacy and life skills education.

Objectives: 

  • To enable children to meet their survival needs.  
  • To increase children’s life skills. 
  • To equip children with vocational and entrepreneurial skills. 
  • To equip children with financial management skills.
  • To facilitate children’s participation in the decision-making process.
  • To build partnerships with financial institutions, research, and technical agencies for the promotion and development of CDK.

Activities: 

Major Achievements: 

  •  Many children have reduced their spending on junk food and started saving money in the Children’s Development Khazana.
  • A few children have reported an increase in height and energy levels due to the intake of a nutritious diet and reduced consumption of junk food.
  • The membership of the Children’s Development Khazana has increased from 80 to 150 children. 
  • Many children have understood the importance of money and now regularly make deposits and check the interest earned on their savings.
